– 71E FESTIVAL JEUNE CRÉATION –

Voilà 5 jours que le 71e Festival Jeune Création a commencé et déjà 2000 visiteurs sont venus découvrir le travail de 116 artistes exposés à la Chaufferie et à la Galerie ! L’exposition reste visible jusqu’au 13 juin, et une programmation variée d’ateliers, performances et nocturnes est prévue durant tout le festival. Retrouvez ci-dessous les événements de cette semaine.

Dans le cadre du 71e festival Jeune Création, venez découvrir l’exposition collective NATURA ARTIS MAGISTRA #2 à la galerie Jeune Création jusqu’au 10 juillet 2021.

« La nature est entière, dure et généreuse, les artistes en sont les élèves tout comme ils l’enrichissent de leur imagination. Partageons leurs échappées depuis la faune en majesté des cavernes, la mystique des temples, aux abstractions et incarnations de concepts. L’expression esthétique ne peut échapper aux exigences de la nature. C’est à la fois de la nature que les signes procèdent et dans ses substances que les idées s’incarnent. Il n’y a pas de pensée sans matière ni de matière sans pensée. Chaque artiste invente son intimité aux états liquides, solides et gazeux. Autant d’interactions qui déclinent des procédés, des vocabulaires et des écritures qui feront sens dans le cheminement existentiel d’une démarche… Le minéral, le végétal, l’animal et l’éther sont à la fois des matériaux et des sources d’inspiration pour l’artiste qui les combinent.

Natura artis magistra et vice versa, comme le constat de tempéraments face à l’imprégnation de la nature. Glissons dans les interstices, entre le faire, l’idée, l’observation et la transposition. Peut-être y découvrirons nous des espaces où réside la possibilité d’échanges et de réciprocité.

Comme un organisme vivant, Natura artis magistra se pose comme une collection de suggestions d’artistes qui s’enrichira, se précisera et s’approfondira au fur et à mesure des chapitres de son développement ici et ailleurs. »

« Pour Jeune Création, Rob Miles a choisi de présenter deux séries d’oeuvres avec comme point de départ des dessins qui sont des interprétations, des clins d’oeil, des poèmes visuels et évoquent les mille « façons » pour l’artiste de revenir sur le collage, la lithographie, la peinture… […] »

La petite galerie des selles, vous invite à embarquer dans « L’arche de Marko Isidor ». L’exposition est visible du 29 mai au 10 juillet 2021. 
Vous y découvrirez un univers foisonnant peuplé d’êtres singuliers témoignant des rêves, espoirs et de la réalité de la vie de Marko.
Marko vit et peint dans la rue depuis de nombreuses années. L’association Jeune Création porte attention à son travail et soutient comme elle peut sa créativité.

Welcome back in Netwerk Aalst! 

Discover and become part of Gardens of Netwerk, visit the exhibition Citoyenne Reprise by Jeremiah Day and follow Day’s conversation with Christophe Busch or take part in the Logomotion workshop, follow the symposium Play-White by Bianca Baldi and come and watch film!

Gardens of Netwerk provides oxygen for and plants seeds in many projects in Netwerk Aalst: the exhibition Nuido by Maaike Van den Abbeele, the photo project Inside Out, Kunstoevers and many more. On June 26th there is a lot going on, including the announcement of the artists who will become part of the gardens after an open call.

WHITE CUBE

FILM – On Wednesday 9 June, our cinema can finally open again! We start with White Cube, the new, long-awaited film by artist and filmmaker Renzo Martens (Enjoy Poverty). The film shows the relationship between Western art museums and the violence of the plantation system.

PLAY-WHITE

SYMPOSIUM – Play-White: Racial Passing and Embodied Images gathers experts, artists, activists and researchers around the theme of image-making in racial passing.
The symposium takes place online on June the 4th with contributions by Bianca Baldi, Pool Space, Shoniqua Roach, Sinethemba Twalo, Zayaan Khan, Kate Strain and Pieternel Vermoortel.

INTERNATIONAL – On 16 April Cameo by Bianca Baldi opens in Graz, Austria. The exhibition is co-produced by Netwerk Aalst. Together with K. Verlag we are also working on an artist publication.

CITOYENNE REPRISE

EXHIBITION – Citoyenne Reprise approaches contemporary events with one eye on history and the other on “Fridays For Future.” Stories of politics and civics, artists and activists are being captured and challenge us to find our place in the landscape of our close struggles and broader forces. Forests and streams, occupations and strikes, “fake news” and true secrets: what is the landscape of civic action today.

The exhibition runs till Sunday 25 July.

TALK – As part of the exhibition Citoyenne Reprise, artist Jeremiah Day will be in conversation with Christophe Busch, director of the Hannah Arendt Institute.

WORKSHOP  -In a four-part workshop series on 19, 20, 26, and 27 June by Claire Filmon, we are introduced to Logomotion, an improvised and narrative dance form that combines writing, speaking and movement with a strong relationship to the natural world.

ZOMERFILM

FILM – Netwerk Aalst presents every summer the best films outdoor. This year we will show films every Friday and Saturday starting at sunset at the Houtkaai. On Friday you choose which film will be played from a selection that we made together with library Utopia. On Saturday the focus is on the MAKERS of the cinema. They show their favourite open-air films. The MAKERS is a collaboration with deAuteurs.

KUNSTOEVERS

SUMMER – Kunstoevers is back again from 26 June to 19 September! This edition, you will be able to enjoy an open-air exhibition spread throughout the city and its suburbs all summer long. On billboards throughout the city you can discover the work of local artists.
 
You will also be able to relax at one of the ‘Tables of multiplication’. The first two tables are presented on Saturday 26 June in the Gardens of Netwerk. After that, these artistic picnic tables multiply at lightning speed and spread throughout the city. 

NUIDO

EXHIBITION – Maaike Van den Abbeele shows her exhibition NUIDO ‘the way of embroidery’. She was selected for the master apprentice programme for immaterial heritage and focuses on artisanal machine embroidery. Maaike was guided by the department of Tourism Aalst and Erfgoedcel Denderland.

The exhibition runs until Sunday 13 June.

ONLINE TV – During the ongoing pandemic, for many artists, writers and thinkers, exhibitions, opportunities and subsequent fees are postponed or cancelled. In response, TRANSMISSIONS was founded in 2020 as an online platform that commissions artists to share their work within a classic TV format.

How do you see NFTs play a role in the future of buying art? On 4 and 5 June, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington will host the 12th edition of the international MoneyLab conference series. She provides a Māori/Indigenous lens on various socio-technical constructs such as post-pandemic issues. MoneyLab considers itself a critical platform for imaginative projects that build a more democratic economy, especially within the creative industry. The kick-off opens with presentations, performances and interventions by local and international artists and guests. Today we are seeing increasing momentum behind Web3 (or decentralised web), bringing grassroots community organising into direct contact with blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and digital tokens.

Afin d’enrichir le contenu du catalogue de l’exposition, BeCraft lance un appel à contribution littéraire basé sur le mot-clé : transmission. Les auteur·trice·s sont invité·e·s à se pencher librement sur ce terme.

Pourquoi cette thématique ? Le 2 octobre 2021, BeCraft fêtera ses 40 ans.
Pour honorer cette quarantième année d’existence, BeCraft prévoit une programmation autour de la thématique de la “transmission”, l’un des moteurs principaux de l’association depuis son existence. 

Déclinée sous différents angles, celle-ci permettra diverses applications pour la mise en place d’activités destinées aux artistes et au grand public. Pour le catalogue, ce point de vue particulier permettra de rendre hommage à l’histoire de l’association, celle des arts appliqués et des artistes qui exercent dans ce domaine. 

L’idée de “transmission” est à aborder de manière libre, littérale ou symbolique (la transmission du savoir, des savoir-faire, de l’histoire, par la culture, par la mémoire,…)

intermission museum of art (ima) is proud to launch t/here or t/here, featuring the collaborative work of jodi hays and ayanah moor.  t/here or t/here will be featured throughout june 2021 as the final installment of ima’s inaugural volume i series.

we live in an increasingly visual world, yet visual literacy is often overlooked.  visual material — a language itself — is often translated, digested, sterilized, muted, or rendered impotent for consumption.  this can happen when the images that surround us are controlled by those in power and is exasperated when education, even fine art education, pays little attention to fully understanding the complexities and nuances of the visual. like much of our consumed material, the visual is neatly packed and sold to us as non-threatening, docile and easily understood.

artists combat this reality by constantly engaging in the visual, attempting to  understand as much as possible by surrounding themselves with the language,  while also engaging in meaningful and complex visual conversations in the studio.  these conversations are often unconscious, determined by formal elements (materials) or conceptual elements (philosophies).  when artists “talk” visually with one another, exciting and new understandings emerge and the cultural discourse becomes dynamic and elevated.  over the past several months jodi hays and ayanah moor participated in one such conversation, resulting in a layered visual discussion about togetherness, generosity, love and so much more.

about ima

intermission museum of art (ima) was founded in 2020 by rose van mierlo and john ros, in response to the cultural, social, environmental, economic and political fissures that make themselves evermore present during times of crisis and put stress on accepted systems of operation. ima provides a space for critical thinkers to respond to these moments of friction by investigating them as meaningful sites of production, instigating dialogues which will culminate in a public archive.

ima’s name references the question of open space: the flipping movement of a hand searching through archives, gaps in the pavement, performance interludes, tv-commercials, coffee breaks and silent pauses; all moments of unpoliced disruption that are typically un-institutional. at its core, ima therefore proposes the museum as a site of uncertainty; a building without walls; a non-hierarchical collection of interdisciplinary narratives and voices; both a guest and a host; and an exercise in cross-pollination. it resists the architectural premise of power that underwrites the white cube, democratizing the exhibition in terms of access. instead, its architectural premise is that of lateral networks; its vision decentralized and participatory.

Au début d’année, les festivals de photographie FOTO WIEN, le Mois européen de la photographie Luxembourg et Imago Lisboa ont lancé conjointement un appel à candidatures international sur le thème de Repenser la nature. Parmi 168 soumissions provenant de 74 pays, les œuvres d’environ 110 artistes ont été sélectionnées, puis éditées et organisées pour le diaporama Rethinking Nature. Les photographes et artistes participant·e·s démontrent de manière impressionnante que le médium de la photographie a un rôle particulier à jouer dans l’effort de compréhension de la relation actuelle entre les êtres humains et la nature.

Alexandra Tretter malt aus dem Körper heraus, ohne ihn direkt darzustellen. Das zentrale Motiv ihrer Arbeiten ist das Oval, eine potente Form die einem Ei, einem Mund, einem Auge oder einer Vulva ähneln kann: Organe, die durch das Wechselspiel von Öffnung und Verschlossenheit geprägt sind.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Mit ihren Kompositionen erforscht sie die ständigen Grenzverschiebungen von Körper und Geist, wie Kaleidoskope anatomischer Querschnitte oder psychedelische Rorschach-Tests.⁣⁣ Die Symmetrie ihrer Arbeiten verleiht ihnen ein Gefühl von Dualität und Opposition: jedes „Modul“ birgt eine bestimmte Energie aus Form, Farbe und Textur.

In ihrer ersten musealen Einzelausstellung, „Die Module spielen verrückt“, präsentiert Alexandra Tretter eine neue Serie großformatiger Arbeiten, die speziell für die Ausstellungsräume des IKOB entstanden sind.

GESTICULATING… WILDLY

Helen Anna Flanagan stellt sich die soziologische Frage, wie und warum Menschen sich so verhalten, wie sie es tun. Dies bringt sie in ihren Arbeiten dazu, sich auszumalen wie fiktive Personen auf existierende Macht- und Gesellschaftsstrukturen reagieren und dazu Stellung beziehen würden. „Gesticulating… Wildly“ bringt erstmals Flanagans Filmtrilogie Gestures (2019-2020) zusammen, in der die Künstlerin ihre kuriosen Charaktere an einem bestimmten Schauplatz auf eigentümliche Weisen kollidieren lässt. In Anlehnung an diese choreografische Herangehensweise, sind ihre Filme in eine vielschichtige Installation in den Ausstellungsräumen des IKOB eingebettet.
 
Wie die Stubenfliegen, die sich als wiederkehrendes Motiv durch ihre Videos streuen, binden Flanagans Arbeiten den Betrachter abwechselnd als passiven Beobachter, Informationsträger oder invasiven Parasiten ein. Damit steht sie im Einklang mit dem Jahresthema des IKOB für 2021, „Gossip“ oder Geschwätz. Das Programm für 2021 setzt sich mit dem Potenzial von Erzählkunst und geteilten Geschichten auseinander, uns als Gesellschaft enger aneinander zu binden, und zielt auf eine kritische Untersuchung der sozialen Kontexte ab, in denen erzählungsauslösende Narrative entstehen und verbreitet werden.

Die Künstlerin wird sich an der Diskussion beteiligen und wir freuen uns auf Fragen und Ideen des Publikums. In englischer Sprache.

[Buratinas] FLOATING RADIO WALK SHOW by NGHE / Superficie d’un fort longtemps by Le Château / Latin Flowers
03/06 – 10/06 2021 – canal Brussels-Tubize – radio & concerts & exhibition

[EN] From 3 to 5 June the boat Buratinas hosts FLOATING RADIO WALK SHOW, a project by NGHE Médiathèque that temporarily transforms the boat into a sailing music player that interacts with the spaces along the Brussels-Charleroi canal, from Comte de Flandre to Oisequerq (Tubize).
In Tubize Buratinas takes part in the project Ceci n’est pas la Croisette by Boot Tenace where Le Château (by Léa Mayer & Maëlle Maisonneuve) presents the exhibition Superficie d’un fort longtemps by Mahé Ripoll on Sunday 6 June.
From 7 to 10 June Latin Flowers (by Clément Thiry and Francesca Chiacchio) uses Buratinas as a rehearsal platform for their mantra pop songs (presented on 10 June). 

[NL] Van 3 tot 5 juni wordt de boot Buratinas door FLOATING RADIO WALK SHOW, een project van NGHE Médiathèque, getransformeerd tot een varende muziekspeler die interageert met de ruimtes langs het kanaal Brussel-Charleroi, van Graaf van Vlaanderen tot Oisequerq (Tubize).

[4th WAB] Open Library at dinA

[EN] In 2020 a lot of publications were produced that did not make it to a public yet. The office of nadine – dinA – will be open for 10 days where you can explore a selection of new publications related to the Wandering Arts Biennial. 
The Open Library opens on Saturday 12 June at 14:00 with the launch of 3rd WABook. During the week the publication ERRARE will be launched with a walk proposed by the author Lucia Palladino (date to be confirmed). 

[NL] In 2020 werden heel wat publicaties gerealiseerd die tot nog toe niet bij een publiek geraakten. Het kantoor van nadine – dinA – open haar deuren gedurende 10 dagen waar een selectie van nieuwe publicaties, gelinkt aan de Wandering Arts Biennial, ontdekt kan worden.
De Open Library opent op zaterdag 12 juni om 14:00 uur met de lancering van het 3rd WABook. Die week wordt tevens de publicatie ERRARE gelanceerd met een wandeling voorgesteld door de auteur Lucia Palladino (datum nog te bevestigen).

Beste lezer,

Het is zover: POST gaat open! When Stones Awake opent zaterdag 5 juni in Nijmegen. Deze expositie draait om de vraag: Wat betekent het precies om herinnerd te worden en wat betekent het om vergeten te worden? De eerste Symbiosis Series opent zaterdag 19 juni in Arnhem. Hier wordt de uitkomst getoond van een tiendaagse gezamenlijke werkperiode van Natalia Jordanova en Alexandra Martens Serrano.

Je kunt de exposities bezoeken van donderdag tot en met zondag, tussen 12:00 en 17:00. We vragen je vriendelijk om een mondkapje te dragen en bij binnenkomst naam en contactgegevens te noteren. We kijken ernaar uit om je te ontvangen!

Terwijl sommige mensen en gebeurtenissen letterlijk en figuurlijk in steen zijn gebeiteld, zijn andere dat niet. De vraag rijst op: wat betekent het precies om herinnerd te worden en wat betekent het om vergeten te worden? When Stones Awake bevraagt de publieke manier waarop specifieke mensen en gebeurtenissen worden herinnerd. Er worden kunstwerken getoond die, direct of indirect, te maken hebben met het idee van herinneren door middel van monumenten. De tentoonstelling kijkt terug en denkt vooruit om vragen te stellen over het auteurschap van monumenten en weerspiegelt de herinnering en de vergetelheid als symbolen voor leven en dood. Voor de eerste Symbiosis Series hebben Natalia Jordanova en Alexandra Martens Serrano elkaar ontmoet tijdens een tiendaagse werkperiode in de tentoonstellingsruimte. Beide kunstenaars onderzoeken hoe taal kan functioneren als overdracht van culturen. Is de voorspelling van een waarzegster net zo nauwkeurig als de ‘feitelijke’ informatie die in geschiedenisboeken wordt gepresenteerd? Beiden zijn geïnteresseerd in fenomenen als het in kaart brengen en overbrengen van informatie, constructies en rasters, en werken met een verscheidenheid aan media: van schilderijen met gesmolten krijtjes tot een sculptuur gemaakt van refurbished iPhones. Sounds is een publiek programma van POST, waarin we door middel van muzieknummers en verhalen reflecteren op kunstwerken. Dit kan een nummer zijn dat je aan een van de kunstwerken doet denken, of een gevoel vastlegt dat het hoofdthema weerspiegelt.

Sounds wordt gehost door educator en schrijfster Gerda van de Glind en muziektherapeut Christina Santaka. Onder voorbehoud zullen deze edities live in de POST ruimtes plaatsvinden, binnen de coronaregels. Er is dan ook een beperkt aantal plaatsen, dus meld je snel aan via

ABA is looking forward to an eventful June at the Haus der Statistik and warmly invites you to join us! From June 1 to June 30, all initiatives of the Haus der Statistik will open their spaces to the public and invite you to an extensive program of events in the context of the annual exhibition of pioneering uses (Pioniernutzungen) under the title “BAusstellung”.

ABA will open its space in House D every Wednesday and Saturday from 3-6 pm and realize various events: a.o. collaborations with Cécile Kobel, Anna Voswinckel, the Dutch artist duo Bik van der Pol and Swiss/Bolivian artist Remy Ugarte Vallejos, the Belgian/Dutch performance duo CMMC and Swiss media artist Vanessà Heer are planned ( more…)

CMMC will introduce their performance practice. Under the title “Beyond Dichotomy: a practice of Togetherness and Objective Movement” the artist duo from Belgium wants to deepen their understanding of the connection between emotion and action during a four month stay in Berlin.

Vanessà Heer is an interdisciplinary artist from Switzerland working with sound based practices and shared listening. She will introduce her artistic practice and focus of her stay in Berlin.

lives and works in Zurich. She is an interdisciplinary artist working with sound based practices and shared listening. In different contexts, collaborations and spaces she explores the political and ethical possibilities of conscious listening and how it can be used as a feminist, decolonial and sustainable tool. In both her performative and her installative works, she constantly oriented towards questions of commonality, collaboration, the dissolving authorship, and the challenges of self-precarization.

CMMC performs self-invented cognitive constructions, always with a latent sense of humour. Their intensity is translated in very long performances (up to twelve hours), that have evolved over the seven years of their existence from working on quickly alternating emotions, text recitation and lengthly synchronized movements, to more stylized conceptual responses to the invitations they receive. The pieces often bring about an almost trance-like state in the performers.

CMMC performed in galleries and at art fairs internationally in Hamburg (P/ART), Manchester (Manchester Contemporary, Performance Program), Rotterdam (Wo Meine Sonne Scheint) and in Antwerp (M HKA, Trampoline gallery), Leuven (Museum M, Ithaka), Ghent (Kunstencentrum Vooruit, KIOSK), and Brussels (Poppositions). CMMC joins ABA’s residency program from June – September 2021

All the womxn’s bodies that crossed the rivers and canals of the city of Berlin are connected with each other. They were killed there, died, or only passed through these liquid spaces and together they grew into an original memory that connects distant pasts and potential futures. In this new narration a population has emerged from this violence and loss: the Womxn Waves.

Where, in the sculptural oeuvre of Gabriel Kuri, do “form” and “content” meet – other than at the intersection of the Rue de Flandre and Rue Léon Lepage where Saint-Martin Bookshop is currently located? Indeed, we could think of this very juncture as an intertwining of long-standing conceptual concerns (related to questions of circulation, exchange, trafficking and valuation) with the artist’s tried and tested arsenal of signature sculptural gestures and moves (balancing, nestling, propping, wedging): an art of both assembly and juxtaposition in every sense of those words.

“Iuxta” is a Latin preposition meaning alongside, or side by side. Adjoining, or neighboring: much of Gabriel Kuri’s three-dimensional work consists of such exact exercises in conjoining and connecting…..

Gedurende 36 jaar werkte Blommestijn als kunstdocent op het Rietveld Lyceum in Doetinchem tot hij het afgelopen jaar met pensioen ging. Samen met collega Wicher Hupkes organiseerde hij tentoonstellingen waarin een brug werd geslagen tussen kunst binnen de schoolmuren en de professionele kunstwereld. Tijdens hun lessen creëerden ze een humoristische en op toeval berustende werksfeer waarbinnen iedere leerling werd gestimuleerd om op bloedserieuze wijze een artistiek proces te doorlopen. Jacques en ik ontmoetten elkaar voor het eerst tijdens mijn stage op het Rietveld Lyceum. Nu, vijf jaar later, zoek ik hem weer op voor een gesprek over de rol van de kunstdocent, het schoolsysteem en de liefde voor het misverstand.

Afstuderen tijdens de lockdown – een zee aan nieuwe perspectieven

Magolide Collecitve – MINNING MANET

De komende tijd belicht Gerda van de Glind kunstenaars die wereldwijd afstuderen tijdens de lockdown. Hun fysieke werk bleef veelal verscholen achter gesloten deuren, maar tegelijkertijd was het nooit eerder zo makkelijk om kunstwerken van jonge kunstenaars over de hele wereld digitaal te bekijken. Dit maakte haar nieuwsgierig en in een reeks artikelen gaat ze kunstenaars belichten uit verschillende windrichtingen die elk vanuit een andere discipline opereren. Allereerst sprak ze met Magolide Collective uit Zuid-Afrika en Daphne Jiyeon Jang uit Zuid-Korea.

Tanja Ritterbex, Updates From My Uterus (2020)

Op 4 januari 1966 schildert hij zijn allereerste. In de 48 jaar die daarop volgen, komen daar nog zo’n drieduizend doeken bij. On Kawara maakt tot zijn dood in 2014 niets anders dan schilderijen met daarop de datum van de dag. Het ene canvas heeft net een ander formaat dan de ander, de tekens zijn vaak geschilderd tegen een grijze achtergrond, soms blauw, een enkele keer rood en de letters van de maand zijn genoteerd in de taal van het land waarop de kunstenaar op dat moment verblijft. Als het werk niet vóór middernacht af is, wordt het verbrand. Het ontbreekt de kunstenaar niet aan zelfdiscipline en ik denk dat dat de serie tot een succes maakt. Als het geen indrukwekkende serie maar slechts één datumschilderij was geweest, had het het Guggenheim vast niet gehaald.

Kunst is Lang – pietsjanke fokkema

 


 

Het werk van pietsjanke fokkema is een samenspel van tekeningen, textielwerken, en gehaakte of geknipte objecten. In de installaties die daaruit ontstaan, combineert ze feiten uit het alledaagse leven met abstracte zaken en grote begrippen, zoals de kosmos of de symboliek van getallen. Haar wereldbeeld strookt met hoe ze in de Middeleeuws dachten: onze wereld is ontstaan door samenhangende wetmatigheden, die door bestudering te begrijpen zijn. In deze aflevering Kunst is lang gaat ze met Luuk Heezen in gesprek over deze wetmatigheden, over de vrouwelijke lijn in haar familiegeschiedenis en over de wiskunde van Pythagoras, die eigenlijk een theorie over het leven voor ogen had.

« Je voyais Satan tomber du ciel comme un éclair » (Lc 10, 18)

L’œuvre de Stephen O’Malley s’appuie sur une pratique sonore approfondie marquée par une fascination pour le dhrupad, l’instrumentation câblée, le drone, le spectralisme phénoménologique, le sound bath et la sonothérapie. Fort de nombreuses années de collaborations avec les compositeurs notoires Alvin Lucier et Phill Niblock, ainsi que de ses propres créations au sein du groupe mythique Sunn O))), Stephen O’Malley revient au Casino Luxembourg présenter une composition originale, Les Sphères (effondrez-les). Cette pièce microtonale au format long a été spécialement conçue pour être jouée en espace réduit, voire intimiste. Le musicien américain sera accompagné pour l’occasion par Kali Malone au synthétiseur septimal et Frederikke Hoffmeier au synthétiseur.

Kali Malone est une musicienne et compositrice américano-suédoise. Ses compositions mettent en œuvre des systèmes d’accord spécifiques dans une structure minimaliste pour orgue à tuyaux, chœur, ensembles de musique de chambre et formats électroacoustiques. L’instrumentation synthétique et acoustique réalisée en mouvements répétitifs et de longues durées confère à ses compositions une grande texture harmonique.

Frederikke Hoffmeier est une artiste de musique électronique expérimentale danoise mieux connue sous le nom de scène Puce Mary. Son travail, en constante évolution, se déplace entre poésie sonore concrète, musique industrielle, compositions ambiantes cinématographiques et drone. Sa discographie riche comprend des sorties sur les labels Posh Isolation, Freak Animal et Ideal Recordings.

Any exciting exhibitions that you are looking forward to see? I am a bit of an easy person, so I will say Bruce Nauman…

I am really happy that people are enjoying so much this show with John Bock, Ying Liu and Silvana McNulty. I had some doubts about the show when I was thinking about it, as I am sure you could feel in the press release, but the reactions of the visitors so far have been really nice! In case you have not visited the show yet it will be on view until the 13th of June! In case you will not be able to come and visit it you can take a look at the installation views here.

The exhibition will be open until the 13th of June, available 24/7-365 so you can write on Instagram, Facebook, email or WhatsApp if you prefer a more personal approach for booking an appointment. Tilde is also in the process of looking for an intern or a sparring partner, so if you know someone who would be interested in discussing some of our upcoming ideas, please, send them over! We will be sending around one email per month and our apologies if you do not want to be on this list, please unsubscribe. Bonnefanten vanaf 5 juni
7 dagen per week geopend!

Tegelijk met de heropening van de musea vanaf zaterdag 5 juni, verruimt het Bonnefanten haar openingstijden en -dagen. Zo bieden we extra ruimte en tijd voor een bezoek aan de tentoonstellingen en kunnen bezoekers op een veilige manier blijven genieten van al het moois dat we bieden.

Vanaf zaterdag 5 juni tot en met zondag 29 augustus 2021 is het museum extra geopend op maandagen én een uur eerder open: maandag tot en met zondag van 10.00 – 17.00 uur.

De Bonnefanten museumshop is in genoemde periode dagelijks geopend van 11.00 – 17.00 uur.

Corona protocol:
De belangrijkste maatregel is dat je vooraf online een ticket voor een bepaalde dag en tijdstip boekt, ook als je in het bezit bent van een Museumkaart of andere kortingskaart. Zo voorkomen we drukte en kunnen we het 1,5 meter bezoek voor iedereen garanderen. Ook verwachten we dat je als gezin of huishouden bij elkaar blijft. In het bijzonder is deze extra kijktijd om de langverwachte tentoonstelling Brueghel en tijdgenoten: kunst als verborgen verzet? voor een groot publiek toegankelijk te maken. Helaas wacht Brueghel en tijdgenoten al sinds eind februari op bezoekers en is deze prachtige presentatie vanaf heropening nog maar tot en met 4 juli te zien.

REOPENING AM SONNTAG

 

Der NAK Neuer Aachener Kunstverein freut sich ab Sonntag, den 30. Mai 2021 wieder öffnen zu können und somit die erste institutionelle Einzelausstellung des Künstlers Maximilian Rödel unter dem Titel Celestial Artefacts präsentieren zu dürfen.

Danach treten die regulären Öffnungszeiten von Dienstag bis Sonntag, von 14 bis 22 Uhr wieder in Kraft. Ein negativer Corona-Test ist nicht mehr länger nötig, es gelten jedoch weiterhin alle gängigen Corona-Schutzmaßnahmen; so ist das Tragen einer medizinischen Maske oder einer FFP2-Maske in den Ausstellungsräumlichkeiten verpflichtend.

Bitte melden Sie sich vorab beim NAK per Email unter Time Slot für Ihren Besuch an. Zudem können spontan Termine an der Tür ausgemacht werden, wenn es die Besucherauslastung zulässt.

Une rencontre avec Francisco Babo avec la participation de David Blasco, Tom Castinel, Ysbelia, Bruno Silva, Swane Vieira et d’autres à confirmer.

 

Pour la fin de la résidence croisée entre Porto et Clermont-Ferrand, Francisco Babo vous invite pour un déjeuner dans le jardin d’Artistes en Résidence accompagné d’une présentation de ses recherches et de quelques formes sonores et plastiques proposées par des artistes invité·es.

Cette résidence est réalisée en partenariat avec Saco Azul Associação Cultural / Maus Hábitos (Porto).

Rendez-vous pour le déjeuner à 12h à Artistes en Résidence au 11 rue de la Rochefoucault à Clermont-Ferrand. Le repas et les boissons sont offerts.
