Join Espace Fxmme-Globe Aroma and Hana Miletić in creating new works as part of their series of Felt workshops (2018- ), inspired by the tactile and playful installations Tapta made in the late 1970s and early 1980s in co-creation with her students and groups of young children.

DANCE PERFORMANCE

Shezad Dawood collaborates with Brussels-based dancer Wan-Lun Yu on site-specific choreography for the exhibition at WIELS. They have drawn inspiration from the Mutant, a key character in the novella Night in the Garden of Love by Yusef Lateef. Come and meet the Mutant as it dances through Dawood’s sensorial garden, in costumes designed by London fashion label Ahluwalia that re-uses fabrics from Dawood’s textile archive.

LOOK WHO’S TALKING: HELENA KRITIS (NL)

Wander through Night in the Garden of Love with Helena Kritis, co-curator of the exhibition. Helena invites you to immerse yourself in the multi-faceted practice of Shezad Dawood, in which he investigates the poetic possibilities of the garden as a site of optimism in the face of the climate crisis.
