workshop
19 February – 14h-18h
The IKO audio speaker – workshop with Jürgen De Blonde
The IKO is an audio loudspeaker capable of projecting Higher Order Ambisonics in a unique way, namely from a central point outwards rather than through the surrounding speakers towards the centre of the room. During the workshop, the possibilities of this instrument will be demonstrated and explored: its interaction with the space and how the sound can be acoustically controlled; a range of techniques using Ambisonics and other surround/spatial sound tools will be explored, and there will also be the opportunity to play or try out short fragments of your own (time permitting). In collaboration with LUCA – School of Arts.
