Pfeil Magazine #14: Nature is coming soon!
This issue revisits the term Nature once again, with all its direct and indirect meanings. In times of global warming and the urgent necessity for active change, we deal with the effects of cultural mimicry, the language of trees, artificial yolk dye, how natural resources can change in their worth and meaning, and question how the theory of evolution would have manifested under a female lens in the 19th century. Out on July 18th!
This issue features contributions from: Aseel AlYaqoub, Birte Brechlin, Christopher Weickenmeier, Constance DeJong, David Fletcher, David Reiber Otálora, Denise Bertschi, Emmett Walsh, Jocelyn Saidenberg, Katherine Lee, Katie Holten, Kinke Kooi, Leticia Ybarra Pasch, Marina Pinsky, Nadia Christidi, Nina Kuttler, Nora Schultz, Patricia Valencia, Rachel Ćosić, Suné Woods, Till Krause, Volker Renner, Zane Fischer, Zlatko Ćosić.

Direct Into Chaos book release in Hamburg
We are looking forward to celebrating the publication together: with all those who were involved in the development; with Chaos breaking out of the book again; with drinks and music and Direct Into Chaos at a special release price!
Aleen Solari’s work is shaped profoundly by insights into various subcultures. These insights are partly drawn from her own experiences, partly borrowed from members of certain scenes who she invites to be part of her work. Her sculptural practice moves in and out of life within these groups, and is full of codes and quotations from antifa members, football fans, bored youth clubs or those embedded in neonazi [removed];
Direct Into Chaos is a book that dives deep into these worlds, shape-shifting between fiction, documentation and artwork. In ghost written texts, Solari fictionalises her own artistic biography, morphing interviews with ultra football fans who had their phones tapped by the police, into a dream world where they receive generous compensation for years lived under [removed];

The latest Interjections are here!
We have two new Interjections for your reading pleasure: May’s contribution SWEETBITTER/BITTERSWEET by Tanaka Fuego and our most recent June Interjection from Pete MacHale, Born Actor.
➤Born Actor
Pete is a transgender actor/writer/deviser born and bred in Bristol, trained at Arts University Bournemouth, and currently based in South London. Pete’s work centres stories that feature truthful nuanced portrayal of trans and queer people and their lives, drawing from his own experiences and those that he sees reflected around him in his community. Pete always thinks his writing is very serious and spooky, but he’s often told “this is so funny, good job!” which is also nice. His debut solo show Dear Young Monster is currently in development with The Queer House. Recent acting credits include Dungarees (Dir. Abel Rubinstein,) featured in BFI LFF and nominated for the Best of British @Iris Prize, Gangs of London (HBO/Sky atlantic), and YUNGLBUD’s Mars music video.
➤SWEETBITTER/BITTERSWEET
Tanaka Fuego is a slam winning, multi- published, international spoken word performer. He is a black, queer artist whose poems cross leaps and boundaries throughout his identity.
