Last week of the show!

Visual answers of W. Rossen, Gabrielė Adomaitytė and Rezi van Lankveld to the question “If you could describe your painting process in an image, what this would be? Do you have a method?”

Dear friends, colleagues, comrades and subscribers of this list, I hope you are well, after last email the cold arrived again to Amsterdam, feeling guilty for celebrating the early Spring I will not do the same failure this time and skip the small talk to share with you some visual conversation I have been having with the artists of the current show for the last year.

Visual answers of Rezi van Lankveld, Gabrielė Adomaitytė and W. Rossen to the question “What sound does your work make?”

We are now entering in the last week of the show and we thought it would be fun to share with you some of the questions and answers we were doing to each other to try to understand were each of us comes from. Here are only a few and we are still wondering if we will publish all, but I hope this shows a bit the backstage of how the shows start at Tilde, from long and relaxed conversations about topics the artists are interested in. If you still have not visited the show it is maybe because you do not live in Amsterdam, then your only chance to enjoy this work is through the installation shots. But, if you live in Amsterdam or surroundings and you would like to check it out, write me, I will be extra flexible this week to try to accommodate all the requests!

Visual answers of W. Rossen, Rezi van Lankveld and Gabrielė Adomaitytė and to the question “What was the first painting you love that you remember?”

To wrap up I will like to bring your attention a great proposal I am taking part of, where together with other spaces around The Netherlands we will be sharing each others program as a way of showing solidarity between small scale art spaces. This really excited me, as I feel that The Netherlands is rather a competitive country and I wish more collaboration would happen between these initiatives, as I think we all strive for the same goals. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them!
