The second week of features a film by Jordan Lord: After…After…(Access) (2018), which is available from Tuesday 13 April until Tuesday 20 April.

After…After…(Access) is an essay film that confronts questions of accessibility by attempting to record the filmmaker’s open-heart surgery.
The film follows artist Jordan Lord, as they prepare for surgery, watch medical imaging of their body with friends, revisit a former lover, prepare for their mother to come to New York, document their family’s arrival, and – ultimately – the moment they are admitted to the hospital.
Alongside this footage, the film carefully considers the relationship between showing and telling, as well as various dimensions of access. It also considers how access is frequently considered only after the threat of liability: both in the context of filmmaking and of disability.
After…After…(Access) prioritises access as a precondition of filmmaking itself; audio description and open captioning are inseparable aspects.
