Sanam Khatibi (rodolphe janssen) proposes a refined candle inspired by one of her vanitas, deriving from the exhibition Cyanide, a series of 21 miniatures in the tradition of the Golden Age of Flemish painting, recently shown at her gallery. ‘I hope this candle will bring some light in these dark times…’

Pieter Vermeersch (Greta Meert Gallery) designed two candles that can each function on their own or as a set of two. As a duo they are pictorially complementary, an image and its inversion. This contrast eventually becomes one in the perfumes that melt and spread in the room. “I feel like it is my responsibility to support people in these difficult times by participating in this constructive project.
