Valmiit ja viime hetken videot on avoin videoilta ja omatoiminen työpaja äänen ja liikkuvan kuvan tekijöille. Ennen varsinaista videonäytöstä, joka perustuu avoimeen osallistumiseen klo 18 alkaen, teemme viime hetken videoita MUU Media Basessa kello 14 – 18.

Viime hetken videot on omatoiminen työpaja, missä voit tehdä omia videoteoksia, yhteistyötä toisten taiteilijoiden kanssa, editoida vanhaa teosta uusiksi, kokeilla teokseesi uutta ääniraitaa, auttaa toista taiteilijaa, antaa toiselle taiteilijalle materiaalisi leikattavaksi tai tehdä teoksellesi uuden ääniraidan äänitaiteilijan kanssa.

Toivottavaa on että otat mukaan oman kannettavan tietokoneesi, materiaaliasi ja/tai kamerasi. MUU Media Base tarjoaa DVD-levyjä osallistujille työpajan ajaksi työskentelyä varten.

Viime hetken videot -työpaja on oiva tapa tavata muita tekijöitä, tehdä kokeiluja ja tutustua toisten taiteilijoiden työskentelyyn äänen ja liikkuvan kuvan alueella.

Tapahtumaa varten on avattu Facebook-sivu, jossa osallistujat/taiteilijat voivat ilmaista toiveitaan tai tarpeitaan ja mahdollisesti tutustua toisiinsa jo ennen tapahtumaa.

Tapahtuman moderoijina toimivat Hanne Ivars ja Markus Renvall. Teknistä apua tarjoaa Media Basen teknikko Hannu Kärenlampi.

Tervetuloa myös avoimeen katselmukseen näyttämään videosi tai yleisöksi kello 18 eteenpäin – avoin videoilta kestää niin kauan kuin videoita riittää!

Valmiit ja viime hetken videot on osa MUU 25 vuotta -juhlavuoden ohjelmaa.

MUU ry, valtakunnallinen ja ammatillinen monitaidejärjestö, edustaa video- ja mediataidetta, ääni- ja performanssitaidetta, valo-, tila- ja ympäristötaidetta sekä uusia ilmaisualoja tutkivia taiteita. Syyskuussa 2012 tuli kuluneeksi 25 vuotta yhdistyksen perustamisesta, ja nykyään yhdistyksessä on 600 jäsentaiteilijaa. Juhlavuotena MUU ry:n on kunnia esitellä aktiivista, monitaiteista toimintaa ja osaamista nykytaiteen huipulta ja marginaalista, ja tulevaisuuden visioita.

An evening of video art. Additional videos are welcome.
The evening is hosted by artists Markus Renvall and Hanne Ivars.

A video workshop for artists will be held the same day, starting at 2 pm.

Finished and Last-Minute Videos is an evening of video art and a workshop for artists working with sound and moving images. The open submission screening starting at 6 pm is preceded by a workshop in the MUU Media Base where artists will produce last-minute videos from 2–6 pm.

Last-Minute Videos is a workshop where you can make your own videos, collaborate with other artists, re-edit old works, try alternative soundtracks for existing works, assist another artist, give your footage for another artist to edit, or create a new soundtrack for your piece with a sound artist.

We hope that you will take along your own laptop, footage and/or camera. MUU Media Base will provide blank DVDs on which to record works that are produced in the workshop.

Last-Minute Videos is a great way to meet other artists, experiment with things and learn how other artists work with sound and moving images.

We have created a Facebook page for the event where participants/artists can tell us about their wishes or needs, and even get to know each other before the event itself.

The event will be hosted by Hanne Ivars and Markus Renvall. Technical assistance will be offered by MUU Media Base technician Hannu Kärenlampi.

You are also invited to attend the open submission screening, either to show your own videos or watch those of others, starting at 6 pm – the video night will continue as long as there are videos to be screened!

Finished and Last-Minute Videos is part of the MUU 25 Years Anniversary Programme.

Artists’ Association MUU is a national interdisciplinary art organization that represents video and media art, sound and performance art, light, installation and environmental art, as well as other experimental modes of art. There are currently 600 artist members in the organization. September 2012 marked the 25th anniversary of the founding of MUU. To celebrate the anniversary, MUU proudly presents active interdisciplinary events and talents from the very top as well as from the margin of contemporary art, together with future visions.
