Dear friends,
It will be a busy summer again, so it’s time for another quick update. Of course we are in strange times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This resulted in the cancellation of my project at the IMAGO International Artist Residency in Bulgaria. This has been moved to June next year. Next to that we had to change our plans for this years edition of If Paradise Is Half As Nice. And last but not least, my work will be on display at two group shows this summer. I hope we’ll meet at one of these occasions. |

Eat drink art thought
Kunstverein Schwäbisch Hall, [removed] – [removed]
I have been invited to a group show at the Kunstverein Schwäbisch Hall in Germany. I will be showing works out of my pressed garbage series, as well as works out of my ‘In coffee we trust’ series. Below my translation of the german text by curator Sonja Klee. The opening will be at the 19th of september (depending on the corona situation). For more information visit the website of Kunstverein Schäbisch Hall.
Eating needs to be considered. How we eat, what we buy and eat has to be seen a quasi global context when it comes to resources and their organization.
The topic of ‘food’ – motif and material of art since the 1960s – is more pressing than ever. In the act of eating, sensual pleasure meets ethical awareness, obsession with the existential, intimate with social codes.
The artists in the exhibition tackle this complex subject from multiple perspectives. Curated by Sonja Klee
