CHRISTMAS GIFTS IN OUR BOOKSHOP

For your Christmas gifts, the bookshop of Fondation CAB has curated a
selection of items.

Open From Wednesday to Saturday – From 12 to 6pm 

This year we have a fine selection of artists’ and architects’ monographs, as well as design and decorative objects: unique ceramic pieces, reproductions of Vitra chairs, Gevers lamps and Bourroulec vases. All these items have been carefully selected for [removed];

Muller Van Severen 

The Belgian designer duo are known for their versatile, colourful and sculptural furniture pieces that are designed in carefully chosen materials. Leather, brass, polyethylene, steel, marble and enamel are often the starting point of their creative process. Linked to their latest exhibition in Saint-Paul de Vence, we have several objects of their creation,  such as Cutting Boards, Trivets and Five Circle.

Vases Bouroullec

Découpage vases each consist of a cylindrical cast vessel and a set of abstract clay plates and bars that can be fixed or placed inside the vase. All the elements have a distinctly hand-crafted appearance and are available in a variety of colours – together they create poetic compositions that look different from every angle: whimsical, ironic, unusual, lively.

JZK Ceramics

JZK ceramics is a workshop for the production of personal and original pieces, shaped on the wheel or with colombins. Creations focus mainly on vases, but also dishes, cups and bowls. The decorations and glazes used to adorn the pieces are all handmade, with care taken to ensure that their composition is not harmful to the environment.

Valentin Lebigot – office items

Valentin Lebigot is a self-published brand of 3D printed object designs. Aware of current environmental issues, Valentin Lebigot uses recyclable bio-sourced plastics industrially manufactured from corn starch. Everything is printed locally in Paris with a colorful, graphic, ethical and responsible universe.

CAB candles, design letters, Jacobsen cups & others 

A selection of children’s items and recreative objects, based on art and design, are also available.

RICHARD NONAS

FONDATION CAB Brussels is honoured to host an exhibition dedicated to the American artist Richard Nonas (1936-2021, New York).
The exhibition offers a fascinating immersion into the singular world of Nonas, a sculptor whose work is distinguished by a profound exploration of space, matter and [removed];
Through his works, often composed of raw materials such as wood, metal and stone, he creates minimalist sculptures that question the relationship between the object and its environment. Nonas explores how these simple elements, through their placement and form, can transform our perception of place, evoking sensations of stability and [removed];
Through his unique approach, Richard Nonas questions the boundaries between art and architecture, between the natural and the artificial. His works, despite their apparent simplicity, carry a powerful emotional and intellectual charge, inviting viewers to reflect on their relationship with the objects and spaces in which they inhabit.
This exhibition is a rare opportunity to discover the world of Richard Nonas, an artist whose work continues to resonate powerfully in the contemporary art landscape. It promises a captivating visual and sensory experience, reaffirming the power of minimalist sculpture in our understanding of space and form.
