July Interjection: A Play On Words by Octavia Bürgel

Octavia Bürgel is a writer and artist based in Berlin. Her work in the field of photography takes the form both of image and text, and attempts to reconcile the extractive-recuperative tension inherent to the medium, while rejecting the notion of a fixed vantage point. Her writing and interviews on art have been published by Flash Art, Frieze and 032c, and presented at the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein.

On the day we will be joined by fellow friends in the independent publishing world, Sticky Fingers Publishing, FEM ZINE and Em-Dash, who will have books, zines and more available for sale.

Monday 22nd July, with MoMA PS1 Warm Up Cassette Tape Archive with Kari Rittenbach and Nick Scavo at 5pm followed by The American Anthology of Flat Music with C. Spencer Yeh and Alex Sturgis live from Canal Projects at 7pm.

Tuesday 23rd July, with prerecorded shows from Gauntlett Cheng and Archangel, and celebrating The Courtney Report’s 200th Anniversary live with Courtney Bush, Payton NYC, Richard Perez, Will Duncan, and Edy Modica at [removed];

Wednesday 24th July, with Sudden Sway, Various/Artists, Daisy Lafarge, Emmanuel Olunkwa, Johanna Zwirner, Ergot Records, Gen Ken Montgomery, and Catherine Liu.

Thursday 25th July, live from London with Tilly Lawless, Unfinished Histories Interviewing Olusola Oyeleye, Klein, Henry Broome, Sofia Hallström, Ruby Phelan, Afsaneh Dehrouyeh, Kasra Jalilipour, D Mortimer, Tamm Reynolds, Sudden Sway and [removed];

Thursday 26th July, back to NYC with Sudden Sway, Various/Artists, Timmy Simonds, Katherine Siboni, Arthur Simms, [removed], and New Theater Hollywood, then onto our Montez Press book party with Stacy Skolnik, Hannah Regel, Timmy Simonds and Aaron Lehman, Hasti, and Olivia Kan-Sperling.
