We are thrilled to announce the first Kunstlicht issue of 2024! As springtime has slowly started to show its face in the Netherlands, this issue arrives right on time to join you on walks in the park and sitting on terraces to take in the first rays of sunshine. Collectively, the research presented in this issue activates a sense that we have not explored in any recent Kunstlicht publication.
Reverberant Ecologies: On the Relational Impact of Sonic Practices is compiled by guest editor Manuela Zammit and explores the interconnectedness and interdependence that make up ecological systems and social formations through the affordances of sound and sonic practices. This issue is an exploration into the far and diverse reach of sound and sonic waves, materialising as a force of nature, a meditative encounter, an alchemical reaction, or an inter- species conversation. We hope you enjoy reading Reverberant Ecologies!
