Julius Thissen is een multidisciplinair kunstenaar en artistiek onderzoeker gevestigd in Arnhem. In diens werken worden ideeën over gemeenschap en representatie, mannelijkheid, sport en competitie onderzocht. Met diens fotografisch werk, voortgekomen uit diens praktijk als performancekunstenaar, wil Thissen verhalen creëren die de dunne lijn tussen presteren en falen onderzoeken.

Watch It Collapse: Old Money Never Dies is a solo exhibition by Julius Thissen. The exhibition focuses on transgender and queer visibility in relation to the dystopian political character of our current times. Thissen will show the first results of their two year visual research, with work especially developed for this [removed];

Julius Thissen is a multidisciplinary artist and artistic researcher based in Arnhem. In their work they explore ideas about community and representation, masculinity, sport and competition. With their photographic work, that stems from their practice as a performance artist, Thissen aims to create stories that explore the fine line between success and failure.
