From 28 January to 23 April, the Belgian-Greek artist Danai Anesiadou will have her first major solo exhibition in her own country at WIELS: D POSSESSIONS. Mark the opening night on Friday the 27th of January in your calendar!

In D POSSESSIONS, Anesiadou attempts to encase the entirety of her possessions in exuberant assemblages of epoxy and metal shards in the hopes of turning them into energy-transforming sculptures. They are brought together in an allegorical scenography related to the inflation of political and spiritual [removed];

MARC CAMILLE CHAIMOWICZ: NUIT AMÉRICAINE

Since the beginning of his career in London in the 1970s, Marc Camille Chaimowicz has steadfastly sailed against the prevailing artistic winds. Folding together past and present, Chaimowicz’s exhibition at WIELS brings together three work groups, all examining intimacy, domesticity, and the desire to create one own’s context.

MARYAM MOHAMMADI: TO SURVIVE!

On 1 February, former resident Maryam Mohammadi will open the presentation To Survive! in the WIELS project room. This emotional and powerful response to the difficulties faced by Ukrainian women since the invasion of Russia, Mohammadi draws on her personal experiences during the Iran-Iraq war.
