R. H. QUAYTMAN: MODERN SUBJECTS, CHAPTER ZERO

After Quaytman’s exhibition at WIELS in 2021-2022, the artist created a striking edition of interchangeable lenticular panels. Each panel can stand alone or be combined into a diptych. In line with Quaytman’s use of optical patterns as a background for paintings, the melodramatic characters of Wiertz seem to come to life as you move past the work.
