Anne Fellner (*1986, New York City) is an American artist living and working between Berlin and Zurich. Her genre-bending paintings navigate a broad field of styles and materials: from figuration to abstraction, from hard-boiled to hypnotic, from cinematic to plein-air. Drawing on a variety of techniques, the artist projects her signs and figures onto colourful, synthetic fabrics, allowing the textile’s physical properties to set the tone. Fellner studied painting at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. In 2020 she completed the Berlin Program for Artists in Berlin. Recent selected exhibitions include: Forever Home, Damien & The Love Guru, Zurich, 2022, Primordial Dime, Zyrland Zoiropa, Berlin, 2022; Depth Of Field, with Alessandro Carano, Castiglioni, Milan, 2022; Wine or Candy, Haus der Kunst, Oslo, 2022, Doors, Provence, Zurich, 2022; Energy Patterns, Galerie Tobias Naehring, Berlin, 2022. Onion Chamber, with Carla Milentis, Holden Garage, Berlin,2021; Liste Showtime, 2021; Für Ilse, with Okka-Esther Hungerbühler, New Home, Berlin, 2021.
Julia Künzi (*1986, Biel) studied art history and comparative literature at University of Zurich and Graphic Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam. She is curator of Stiftung Binz39 and has been assistant curator and in charge of publications at Kunsthalle Bern since 2019. Before that, she was working for Galerie Francesca Pia.
