January Interjection: Green Car by Moya DeYoung

This month we’re introducing our first Interjection Calendar contributor of 2022, as curated by Guest Editor Onyeka [removed];

Moya DeYoung is a (sometimes) London-based interdisciplinary writer, artist, producer and collaborator. Moya’s practice stems from a background in health activism, medical anthropology and community public health first in Zimbabwe, and later, Palestine. An immigrant to the UK, Moya’s work explores collective trauma, settler colonialism, erasure and the experience of daily violence caused by colonial [removed];

This exploration has manifested in film, poetry, written word, critical theory, and workshops. Moya has produced works for the V&A, Somerset house, the National Portrait Gallery, Du Pont gallery in Washington DC, and Les Urbaines Lausanne, among others. The unifying features within Moya’s practice are empathy, truth seeking, expressing subjugation and the sharing of experiences, with the aim of giving body and voice to marginalised [removed];

New Mind Mapping Forms by Eva Ďurovec now available for pre-order

Our first publication of 2022 is now available for pre-order through our site at the link below. New Mind Mapping Forms is a handwritten diary by Eva Ďurovec, who works as a software tester forty hours a week while also studying art. For her, there are never enough hours in the day to complete everything, to comply with everything. And then there is also her desire to have children of her own. The question is: how can all of this be reconciled within the profession of artist?

Ďurovec investigates the possibilities that arise from different class formats, and asks what we produce and reproduce—with our bodies, through our routines, trapped between the recurring desires and cruelties of daily life.

We’ll be announcing details of the book launch event in our next newsletter, so stay tuned!
