IF I COULD WISH FOR SOMETHING

EXHIBITION – The exhibition If I Could Wish For Something brings together two recent films by Dora Garcia, Love With Obstacles and If I Could Wish For Something. Both films are part of Amor Rojo, a work-in-progress that studies Alexandra Kollontai (1872-1952). Alexandra Kollontai was a Marxist theoretician and figure of the October Revolution, a defender of the rights of women and sexual activist. MAGAZINE GIRLS LIKE US – In the light of the exhibition If I Could Wish for Something by Dora García in Netwerk Aalst, the magazine Girls Like Us is currently working on a new issue on the theme of disappointment. This issue will be presented in Netwerk Aalst in 2022.

DINER – On 4 December, Annelien Vermeir invites you to her table. Highly personal and together with 11 unknown guests. As a research in eating (together) and connecting, Annelien installs a dinner tailored to the exhibition in which the guests can taste everything on the table. FILM – November brings the perfect film weather! This month, we’ll again be showing some powerful films. The Holebifilmfestival comes to Netwerkt Aalst and brings with it Petite Fille, Benedetta and Supernova. Join us at our breakfast table on Sunday 21 November and enjoy Wolfwalkers afterwards. A wonderful animated family film by Ross Stewart and Tomm Moore!

KUNSTENDAG VOOR KINDEREN

KIDS – Every year on the third Sunday of November, Flanders celebrates Kunstendag voor Kinderen (Artday for Kids). On that day children and their families can experience art for a whole day. Netwerk Aalst organizes a breakfast film with the animated film Wolfwalkers. Afterwards the children can get creative during the workshop ‘Kunst op mijn tas’. You can register via More info (NL) >
