Not Fully Human, Not Human at All Online Video Exhibition Curated by Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez Streamable July 6 to August 10, 2021 The exhibition features a single artist film, The Empire of Law (2021) by Daniela Ortiz. The film critically analyzes the relationship between law, justice, and colonialism through the history and architecture of two law courts rooted in extractivist, racist, and neo-colonial rationale, the Brussels Palace of Justice (Belgium) and its replica, the Palace of Justice in Lima (Peru). The work was commissioned as part of the four-year project Not Fully Human, Not Human at All, currently on view at KADIST Paris.
