Psychic Island by Nasrin Tabatabai and Babak Afrassiabi
Psychic Island is a film centring Telegraph Island as its main location and [removed];Situated deep in a mountainous narrow inlet in the Persian Gulf, the island was made into a repeater station by the British from 1865 to 1868.
The film depicts the Telegraph Island as an ‘unanchored’ transmission node, a technological organ signalling from near and far-removed locations, with intertwined narratives, voices and sounds from what and whoever had once or will cross it.

Kunstnernes Hus is an art institution in the centre of Oslo. JACK (NO)
Jack Film Agency is a newly established agency for film distribution. Jack is developed from the environment at Nordland School of Arts and Film and mirrors their occupation with the need for a rethink and rework of ways of distribution. Jack’s work is focused on spreading artist and independent film to new arenas, enhancing the public relevance of film, as well as strengthening the artist’s right of disposal of their own work. Initiators are Lene Berg, Knut Åsdam, Marin Håskjold, Mariken Halle, Katja Eyde Jacobsen, Magnus Mork, Guro Bruusgaard and curator Cato Fossum.

The Signal Line by Myriam Lefkowitz and Simon Ripoll-Hurier
What if we hired psychic spies to look through Silicon Valley’s iron curtain? The Signal Line will be a sci-fi documentary on the edge between divination and espionage, New Age and new tech, a film about the possibility of perceiving the invisible, of seeing through walls, bodies, time and space, and a film about the possibility of sharing these visions.

ARCTIC MOVING IMAGE FESTIVAL (NO)
Set in the spectacular Arctic scenery, next to the town of Harstad, this festival offers groundbreaking film and moving images made in the Arctic and internationally, and hosts talks, discussions and workshops. It also combines conventional film and ‘moving image’; video-art, experimental film, time-based installations and sculptures, and explores the space where the cinema and gallery meet. Its hosts film archives from the past to the future and different media (TV, film, smartphones, internet…).

THE INTERNATIONAL SAMI FILM INSTITUTE (NO)
The International Sámi Film Institute is dedicated to providing Sámi people with skills and economic opportunities in developing, producing, and distributing Sámi films in the Sámi language. In addition, the ISFI is an institute for promoting cooperation and encouraging productions with other indigenous filmmakers and organisations internationally.

NORDLAND ART AND FILM SCHOOL (NO)
On & For partner organisation Nordland Art and Film School (NKFS) is situated in the Arctic Circle in northern Norway, offering a BA in moving image. Rather than a traditional film school, NKFS is an art school educating artists specialising in moving image. This approach is characterised by a deep reflection on the language and methods used, and a critical and creative approach to film conventions. The school is also active nationally in the discourse on new methods of funding, production and distribution reflecting the growth and needs of this field of film practice.
