This year was a challenge to say the least. But now that the end is in sight, I invite you to end the year festively with a visit to my solo exhibition ‘Grand Cru’ at Hopstreet Gallery in Brussels.

Grand Cru is about the parallels between wine and art and how they both get better through aging. For this I selected eleven rare wines at an online auction. The exhibition consists of as many barite photos, each time hidden in a wine box. The photos are unfixed and therefore sensitive to light. As a result, the photo will slowly turn black as soon as the box is opened.

Whatever it may be, Grand Cru is a surprise for the future. By waiting, you will enjoy the moment you have been waiting for all the more.

Best wishes,
Egon
