LOOP Online: November 17 – 26 – [removed]
LOOP SALON: November 17 – 19 – Museu d’Història de Catalunya

We are thrilled to announce that the 18th edition of LOOP Fair Barcelona will present a hybrid programme of online and offline activities, to keep supporting the artists, their galleries as well as those who are involved in making the moving image community grow stronger.

This year the Fair will host a high quality selection of videos by 29 galleries from 17 countries online. On view on LOOP Barcelona’s website from November 17 to 26, the offer will be enriched by the LOOP Talks, an engaging programme of conversations with international art experts.

Despite the complex circumstances, LOOP will maintain its physical offer transforming the traditional LOOP Fair into LOOP SALON, a curated exhibition at the Museu d´Història de Catalunya showcasing a selection of videos from the overall fair’s offer from November 17 to 19.

Organized by curator and Fair’s Director Aurélien Le Genissel, the exhibition titled Tales From an Old World reflects on the meaning of approaching narratives and images that today seem taken from another time, the one before the pandemic. The exhibited works will outline a series of “pre-Covid” issues as seen by our new gaze and updated by our new concerns.

LOOP Salon will also include a special curated section by Amira Solh, proposing a focus on Beirut and presenting a selection of galleries from the Lebanese capital after the disaster of August 4, 2020.
