Palette: Three-legged Evidence
Palette, a migrating platform with the function of a bar steps into the space of Salon du Salon, offering the viewer thematic drinks blended with artworks by the artists, collaborators and creators of this set-up. The artist has chosen to play with the name palette indicating both the physicality of a bar’s counter and also the act of mixing. The bar becomes an eclectic piece combining references from various historic eras and personal sources of inspiration – both spiritual and physical.
Daria Melnikova
Daria Melnikova is a Riga-based artist, who works with installations and objects. Her work results from a meditative study of daily routine, clichés, architectural details and mere casual moments. She has recently exhibited in Gallery Vartai, Vilnius; Karlin Studios, Prague; PLATO, Ostrava; Kulturfolger, Zurich; Kim? Contemporary Art Center, Riga, [removed];
Ndayé Kouagou
Ndayé Kouagou is an artist and performer based in Paris, his practice always starts from texts of which he is the author. Voluntarily or involuntarily confused, he tries as best as he can to bring a reflection on these 3 topics; legitimacy, freedom and love. The result is… what it is. He describes his work as “quite interesting, but not that interesting or maybe not interesting at all”. He has presented his work among others at Auto Italia South East (London), Centrale Fies (Dro/Italy) and Lafayette Anticipation (Paris) where he also launched his publishing project YBR* (Young Black Romantics). Ndayé Kouagou is currently in residence at Triangle France / Marseille.

Roots to Routes
Roots to Routes is a collaboration between artists, curators and non-profit organisations from Marseille and the Baltic countries, taking place as part of the Manifesta 13 Biennial program “Les Parallèles du Sud.” Curated by Merilin Talumaa, Maija Rudovska and Justė Kostikovaitė, the project will unfold across a series of exhibitions, performances, screenings, workshops, lectures and walks in Marseille from 28 August 2020 to 25 October 2020.

Manifesta 13, Les Parallèles du Sud
For its thirteenth edition, in 2020, Manifesta, European Nomadic Biennial takes place for the first time in Marseille, France. ”Manifesta 13 Marseille” is divided into three different, yet connected, programmes that have been created over the past two years and are constantly evolving: the central programme ”Traits d’[removed]”, the Education and Mediation programme “Le Tiers Programme”, and the collateral projects and events “Les Parallèles du Sud”.

Salon du Salon is a project dedicated to contemporary art and a publishing [removed];Since December 2013, Salon du Salon has been working with artists and curators invited to develop exhibition proposals. Forms and development of collaboration are based upon the projects themselves, and have included publishing, conservation, performance art, research, residencies, and more. Salon du Salon is member of PAC, Provence Art Contemporain, galleries and contemporary art places network.
