MUU ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE
The duration of the residency is one-month at Tapiola Guest Studio, located in Espoo, about 8 km from the city centre of Helsinki. The residency is located in a park-like setting just beside the sea. The studio has a total area of 83 m2, plus a living balcony of 15 m2.
Residency time is August 1-27, 2015.
The residency is organised by the Artists’ Association MUU in cooperation with The Finnish Artists’ Studio Foundation. [removed]
Brief description of the residency program
MUU residency program gives the selected artist a place where they can develop ideas, experiments and produce new works. The housing at Tapiola Guest Studio (address Nallenpolku 1, 02100 Espoo) is for free. The resident artist is invited to work at MUU Media Base (Lönnrotinkatu 33, Helsinki).
MUU residency program stimulates a cultural exchange between residents and local artists. There is an active and lively sound art community in Helsinki. MUU is collaborating with different sound art spaces, such as:

Äänigalleria Vuorikaiku [removed]
August is a very active cultural month in Helsinki, with big events such as Night of the Arts, the Helsinki Festival, Contemporary Folk Music Festival Etno-Espa, the Urban Music and Culture Event Flow Festival and Viapori Jazz. It is a perfect time to be in Helsinki.
