Tauba Auerbach is een van de meest vernieuwende schilders van deze tijd. In haar werk maakt ze radicaal komaf met het traditionele onderscheid tussen beeld, ruimtelijkheid en inhoud. Kwesties rond het beeldoppervlak en topologie in het bijzonder staan centraal in haar recente schilderijen, tekeningen, fotowerken en kunstenaarsboeken.
De tentoonstelling presenteert werken uit de Fold-reeks, de Weaves-reeks, en een selectie kunstenaarsboeken. Samen suggereren de werken een verband tussen de gevoeligheid voor een vierde kleurbereik en de mogelijkheid om een vierde ruimtelijke dimensie te ervaren.

La surface, et les questions relatives à la topologie au sens large, sont au cœur de ses œuvres récentes, qui incluent peintures, dessins, photographies et livres d’artiste.
Tetrachromat présente des oeuvres des séries Fold et Weaves, ainsi qu’une sélection d’éditions d’artiste. Pris ensemble, ces travaux évoquent un lien entre la sensibilité à une quatrième gamme de couleurs et la capacité de percevoir une quatrième dimension spatiale.

Tauba Auerbach is considered one of the most innovative painters of our time. In her work, traditional distinctions between image, dimensionality and content collapse. Surface and the larger issues surrounding topology have been central concerns in her recent paintings, drawings, photographs and artist books.
Tetrachromat presents works from the Fold series, the Weaves series, and a set of artist books. Taken together, the works propose a relationship between a sensitivity to a fourth color range and the ability to experience a fourth spatial dimension.
