Image by Abel Minnee & Melanie Veuillet P/////AKT is hosting – TRANSMIT Opening + presentation: Saturday June 2nd, 20-24 hrs Until: Sunday June 3rd, 14-18 hrs TRANSMIT is a spontaneous micro-exhibition of the results of an intensive five-day exchange between photography students of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and the Sint Lukas Academie in Brussels. 22 young artists met in Flacc, a platform for artistic production in Genk, Belgium. There, they exchanged pulses: carefully chosen images, texts, video and sound fragments that gave rise to the creation of new work. In the course of just five days, they engaged in a dialogue and produced enough work to fill the space. The Rietveld and Sint Lukas academies are pleased to invite you to P/////AKT platform for contemporary art, where the works will be on display for the weekend. In addition, some exam candidates from the Rietveld photo department will present printed matter resulting from the final year writing trajectory. This show is a follow-up of a similar setup in Brussels.
