An Archipelago
An archipelago may be in an ocean, a sea, a smaller body of water, or a newsletter: six islands of news items, yet not isolated from each other, but gathered in the same ocean, each with its own “root identity” (freely based on Édouard Glissant, by Sonia Saroya & Édouard Sufrin). Sonia Saroya is sharing insights from Derniers Souffles, her ongoing collaborative research project with Édouard Sufrin this [removed];She has been working on the sound installation L’archipel (The archipelago), which will be exhibited during Oscillation ::: from the Mothership. Having only partially recovered from the last Second Sundays with Rhodri Davies, we are already announcing the next one, with Q-O2 ultra-regulars fabonthemoon & Benoit Deuxant. We are excited to announce another series of monthly gatherings (for the coming 6 months), in the form of Sacred Harp singing sessions, instigated by Francesca Hawker and Marialena Marouda. Lastly, the deadline for our annual open call for emerging sound artists is fast approaching, as is our yearly festival, for which we are still looking for people who rent out guest rooms to artists who come to perform.
Post-residency presentation 13 February – 18h – @Q-O2 – free Sonia Saroya After the first part of her residency, Sonia Saroya shares insights from Derniers Souffles, an ongoing collaborative research project with Édouard Sufrin. During an open studio visit, she invites the public into conversation for an exchange of ideas. Derniers Souffles, a research-creation project initiated in 2021, explores the acoustic characteristics of old electronic components, their mineral origins, and the industrial processes required for their fabrication. During their residency, they will work on L’archipel (The Archipelago), which will be exhibited during Oscillation ::: from the Mothership. [More info]

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a keen singer or have never sung before. All sessions [removed] – [removed], on 17/02, 24/03, 21/04, 19/05, 16/06, and 7/07; registration via [More info]
