Cuthwulf Eileen Myles (they/them, b. 1949) is a poet, novelist and art journalist widely known for their practice of vernacular first-person writing across genres. They are the author of 25 books, including Chelsea Girls. Pathetic Literature and a Working Life (poems). Forthcoming from Fonograf in April 26 is Birdwatching, a long unpublished poem from 1978 plus three early books. They live in New York & in Marfa, TX.

This month’s writer resident, Lux Pyre, untangles the intricacies of fandom through a single BTS image seen under different [removed];  

Lux Pyre is a multi-disciplinary artist and writer based in London. His work explores intimacy, humour and public spectacle in online and offline communities, predominantly through meme creation, erotic horror, and [removed];

Lux’s writing has been published in TISSUE, Deviance Magazine, and Eros Study, and his work has been shown at York University (Toronto), Rich Mix, and London Conference in Critical Thought.

Meanwhile, Casey, Sean’s ex, hopes Releasing will cure their Long Plague. Then femme fatale Mitchelle reappears. And the plot twists.

A pulpy neo-noir romp through the anxiously assimilated transmasculine id, Jaw Filler asks: who is VSI, and what do they really want? Can you be your own dad? And if Character’s mind is trapped in Sim World, then where is his body?

MPR FUNDRAISER: Montez Got Talent @ Nightclub 101, co-hosted by Perfectly Imperfect

Join us on Thursday November 20th at Nightclub 101 for the 7th Annual Montez Got Talent, in which NYC’s talented yet undiscovered performers appear before local celebrity judges who decide which contestants move on in the competition. With the guidance of the show’s host, Lena Greene, the audience hears karaoke from contestants as they strive to make it to the finale. Who will take home the title of Montez Got Talent Champion? 

Featuring performances by Candy Store, Martina Gordon, Kevin Barnes, Lola Kirke, August Lipp, Raphael Martinez Cohen, Yuliana Troubetskaia, Gary Luk, Jordan Coley, and more!

With judges: Angela Trimbur, Skype Williams, and Angel Money

Competition followed by an open mic where you can audition for next year’s competition.
