Het Festival de Saint-Paul de Vence strijkt voor het eerst neer in de Fondation CAB voor een unieke ontmoeting tussen klassieke muziek, elektronische muziek en hedendaagse kunst. Een verrassende dialoog tussen de viola da gamba en elektronische machines voert je mee door tijdperken en esthetieken die op het eerste gezicht lijnrecht tegenover elkaar staan, maar hier wonderlijk samensmelten.

Van schilderkunst tot bewegend beeld, via beeldhouwkunst en design, brengt de Fondation CAB een brede waaier aan artistieke praktijken samen die de ruwe verbeelding van vergankelijke materialen verkennen — van prints tot ontlede composities, bewerkingen, bewegende en lichtgevende abstracties, assemblages en recyclage.

Join us at Fondation CAB Brussels for the Open Studio of Marija Rinkevičiūtė (1993, Vilnius, Lithuania), our 36th artist in residence.
Marija is a painter working between Brussels and Vilnius. Her abstract works explore memory, materiality, and chance, often using found objects and wax surfaces. She holds degrees from the Vilnius Academy of Arts and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, and exhibits [removed];

Rejoignez-nous à la Fondation CAB Bruxelles pour l’Open Studio de Marija Rinkevičiūtė (1993, Vilnius, Lituanie), notre 36e artiste en résidence.
Marija est une peintre travaillant entre Bruxelles et Vilnius. Ses œuvres abstraites explorent la mémoire, la matérialité et le hasard, utilisant souvent des objets trouvés et des surfaces en cire. Elle est diplômée de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Vilnius et de l’Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles et expose à l’international.

Marija woont en werkt tussen Brussel en Vilnius. Haar abstracte werken onderzoeken thema’s als geheugen, materiaal en toeval. Ze maakt gebruik van gevonden objecten en alledaagse oppervlakken als vertrekpunt voor haar artistieke experimenten. Marija studeerde aan de Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Vilnius en de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Brussel. Ze stelt haar werk internationaal tentoon.

The Super Conceptual Pop exhibition takes as its starting point one of Brüggemann’s eponymous show titles, to champion a new, twisted chapter in the relationship between conceptual and pop aesthetics in contemporary art.
Through the works on show, this twist offers a fresh approach to conceptual art, which both celebrates a form of nihilism inherited from Dada, and exhibits itself in the realm of amusement and merchandise. A joyful conceptualism!

L’exposition Super Conceptual Pop prend comme point de départ l’un des titres de show éponymes de Brüggemann pour défendre un nouveau chapitre, tordu, des rapports entre les esthétiques conceptuelle et pop dans la création contemporaine.
À travers les œuvres exposées, cette torsion offre une approche inédite de l’art conceptuel, qui célèbre à la fois une forme de nihilisme, héritage de Dada, et s’expose dans le royaume de l’amusement et de la marchandise. Un conceptualisme joyeux !
